Chewed (!!?)Stile Repaired

We went to Streat, walking from the Church Eastwards and then down path STR 30/1  to TQ 3545 1481 where STR 30/1 becomes PLU 36/1.

The tops of the posts of a handrail beside some steps had become soft with rain, and some attempt had been made to protect them with retro-fitted caps. But one was in a bad state so we screwed an 600x75x75 post alongside it and fixed the handrail to that. It is much more secure (but no photo)

Then we went to a stile near Wooton Farm at TQ 3777 1505, where footpath ECH 37/1  leaves Bridleway ECH45/1 in East Chiltington. The stile was fine except that the lifting bar and the top of the dog paddle had been chewed, presumably by a horse with teeth problems. We replaced the lifting bar and the dog paddle.
