New catch on Lodge Hill gate

The catch on one of the double gates on Lodge Hill was no longer working , mainly because the post it closes against has rotted at the base and dropped. This needed fixing before cattle are moved into the field.

We poked some stones under the post to lift it and fitted a new catch. The post will need replacing in the next year or two, so we’ll be back.
