Replacement of Information Board at Jacobs Post

Jacob’s Post is halfway between Janes Lane and the site of the Royal Oak pub, on a permissive path from Janes Lane to the pub corner. The easiest access is from the DItchling Road, Bankside Farm Access. (The path currently peters out after a further 200m.)

According to Legend the Post there was once the site where hung the body of a murderer: Jacob Harris.

The Information Board there was rotten and falling apart but with support from Wivelsfield Parish Council we have replaced the board with a more robust image on aluminium, and added an oak housing and supports.
